Change will only happen if people keep working towards it!

Dear Friend,

76 countries make it a crime to be gay or transgender - and in 10, you can still be sentenced to death or life in prison. In many others, the ability to work, raise a family and love who you choose free from threat of violence is not yet a reality.

I
Like this organisation. It is easy to keep up with the news through them and to take even a small piece of action.
Life is changing. My mum claims not to have even known about gay people until she was 40, i reckon i knew in my teens and my daughter went to gay pride when she was 14.
Quite a bit of change over 3 generations!Hopefully the bill on gay marriage in the uk will be passed and we can be further away from the nonsense that see's a difference between gay and hetero marriages.

Amen to that! Things are changing for the good in some places, but they dseem to be getting worse in others. The thought that in some countries people can be jailed or even put to death for being gay is beyond shocking. While the gay marriage bill passing in the UK is a significant step in the right direction, that's just towards equality in one country where being gay has already been decriminalised for years. The challenge is to get other countries to accept that being gay is as natural as being so-called straight. I fear there is still an awfully long way to go, but at least All-Out is working towards changing outdated attitudes. There IS hope, but there's a lot of work still ahead!
