Finished mum's birthday card!

Despite my doubts, I have successfully finished mum's birthday card - with a few days to spare (just as well, as I seem to be getting a migraine!). Next task will be a Valentine card and I haven't even chosen a design yet =S

Here's the stitched piece for mum's card....

Thank you! I was worried I'd taken on too much considering how little time I had to stitch it in, but it only took 5 days altogether so now I just have to wrap mum's presents. Such a relief. Not without problems though, I kept having to hide it every time mum came upstairs. She's very sneaky, I don't always hear her, lol!

That is really sweet. My mom loves owls too. She'd adore this and I bet your mom will too! Happy Birthday, Badly_Knitted's Mom! :)

I hope you feel better soon, without the full-fledged migraine. *Sprays anti-migraine spray around*

Thank you.

I hope so too. My head still aches, but it's no worse than it was so I'm hoping.

Mum just adores owls and so do I, so when I saw this design I knew I had to stitch it. It wasn't easy because I needed to make it smaller to fit on the card so I had to use higher count fabric. I think it was 18 holes per inch but it might have been 20... Also, the chart itself was printed rather small and my eyesight isn't what it was. Still, the card will go well with the pretty owl brooch I got her as one of her presents. I have a pair of earrings myself =)

Oh wow, Very impressive! You make good cards! :-)

I hope your mum likes it (of course she will) and has a good birthday.

Also hope your bad head doesn't develop into a full blown migraine. *hugs*

Thank you. I'm sure she will like it, but I still have to wait a few days to find out ;)

My head's not got any worse so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Thank you! I love stitching cards, but I often find myself short of time. I suddenly realise it's almost someone's birthday and I wanted to make them a card, so it's a bit of a rush getting it done in time.

Next I have to make a Valentine card!
