Dear friends,
I just signed a petition to help stop Uganda's notorious "Kill the Gays" bill - which could legalize the death penalty for gay and lesbian people. President Museveni promised to veto it but he's under pressure from Uganda's parliament who desperately want to pass it. We can hold him to his promise by taking action right now.

(On a brighter note, John Barrowman is on Celebrity Antiques Road Trip tonight, BBC2 an 7pm - that should be fun! I wonder who he'll be paired with...and what car they'll be driving, lol! I love antiques shows!)

My parents always watch that program and I normally tease them about it because I find antiques shows quite dull. But I will make an exception this time because I'm sure he will liven it up!

I'd always thought religion was about accepting people and treating everyone the way you'd want to be treated yourself, but there's so much hate being preached in the name of various religions, it terrifies and disgusts me.

If the global outcry is big enough, maybe it will push the president to stand firm and keep his promise. It's so ridiculous - gay people aren't harming anyone, all they want is to be free to be who they are, just like every person on earth. Sexuality shouldn't matter, everyone should be treated the same way.
