What a lovely crossover. I'm only saw a couple of episode of Castle, but I love the way you draw a parallele between the two couple.

My favorite part is when Dee drops the mask and reveals his true feelings for Ryo and especially this part

"The brash detective’s entire demeanour had changed. Gone was the too wide smirk, the cocky attitude and the posturing. Somehow he looked younger, his smile softer and more genuine."

Thank you! I think a lot of Dee's attitude is an act, he often seems like a different person when he's alone with Ryo. Sometimes the act must be exhausting to keep up, he's glad when he can drop it and just relax.

I'm watching re-runs of Castle at the moment, I missed most of it when it was first shown, only caught a few first season episodes, so it's almost all new to me. I just thought it was a great fandom to do crossovers with FAKE because of the parallels.
