Just dropped my rabbit off at the vet for dental surgery. Needless to say, I'm now sitting here worrying about him - it's a general anaesthetic and they're always risky, but it has to be done as his teeth have gone wonky AGAIN. He's home now - just collected him a little while ago - but he's grumpy, so he's just slumped in his house looking sorry for himself. Teeth are trimmed, so he should be comfy - well, as comfy as anyone can be after dental surgery - but they'll need doing regularly which is going to cost the earth! This time cost close to £200, and that's on top of the cost of his vaccinations. *sigh* Never had to pay out like this with my other rabbits.

He'll need his teeth doing regularly from now on - which is going to be expensive if today's bill is anything to go by. Apparently he's missing all his lower back teeth on the left - I think there are supposed to be 4, but it could be 3, I can't remember which the vet said. Anyway, there's nothing for the upper ones to grind against. Which begs the question - where the hell did his teeth go? Was the tooth fairy getting desperate? I dunno, he's had surgery on his teeth twice before, but no one said anything about extractions, just trimming and filing, so that's a mystery. Right now he's a grumpy bunny but I'm sure he'll cheer up when it gets a bit cooler! I'll pass on your hug then! =)

Misty is home now, a bit grumpy but should be okay until he needs his teeth done again. He's a big old softy really, very good-natured and comical, just doesn't seem to understand that hay is food. Ah well, they do say pets become like their owners, so I'm not sure what that says about me lol!
