I've taken the plunge!

Well, this is it, I just posted my first tiny ficlet to a couple of communities (thanks to everyone who offered help, advice, instructions and hand-holding - you know who you are!) and now I think I'll just sit here and wibble for a bit. If I've recovered by tomorrow, I might post my other fic. After that, I suppose I might have to write some more!

Oh wow, I've already had 2 comments from my first posting! I'll post the other one that's already on my journal in the next couple of days, then it's just a case of waiting for inspiration to strike, or trying to wrestle one of my two part-written fics into readable condition. They might take a while though. I'm never going to be a prolific writer - inspiration strikes rarely - but I will try! Thank you, I can't believe I didn't make a mess of the postings! *bounces*

Just had another read of your gorgeous toothbrush choices - just needed to 'feel' Jack's smile at the end before I go to bed...and had to smile at all your lovely comments from people - see auntie Dawn knew people would love it - so now I'm twirling you in the other direction...fantastic :D

HEEHEE!!! I'm so delighted with the response, it's amazing! People whose stories I read and enjoy are reading mine! *bounces insanely* *falls over* *gets up and bounces more carefully* I'll probably post the other one sometime in the next few days, just need to find a bit of uninterrupted time so I can concentrate. I think the damp weather has got into my brain, it feels a bit mushy.... Oh no! All my fluff has got wet! *wrings out brain* Ah well, British summertime, should be used to it by now!

Thanks so much! I think it will get easier and less nerve-wracking with practice. I've been around livejournal a couple of years now, but I'm still learning the basics and I've only made half a dozen entries on my own journal. Actually posting to communities turned out to be easier than I expected! After I set up my journal, it took me nearly two weeks to figure out how to get back into it. I was such a newbie I didn't know anything, but I've met some wonderful people online who have been very generous, helping me learn =)
