Windows internet explorer 9

A word of advice about Windows Internet Explorer 9:

AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!!

It's complete and utter crap - I wound up with it on my computer and couldn't do anything with it that I normally do, it took me the best part of an hour to find a way to get rid of it again! Thank god for restore points.

New does not automatically mean 'better'. *hugs ( Read more... )

Same here! I'm going to try Google Chrome and Firefox, see which I find easiest to use. Windows Internet Explorer has problems at the best of times, but version 9 is just idiotic and unusable! What made them think it was an improvement or even a good idea I'll never understand. Whovever created it should be fired for incompetence!

I was inspired by this post! I thought i was the only one having problems with IE9. I finally threw my hands up and downloaded Firefox because IE9 kept giving me problems whenever I tried to download photos or post to my journal. I've only had Firefox for about a day and I'm loving it so far. I only had to download the latest version of Flash Player so I could better access my e-mail. Otherwise, so far so good.

Glad I'm not the only one! IE 9 is a fiendish torture device designed to send internet users insane! I could barely make it work at all - of course I'm a technological dunce, but you'd think these things would be designed for people like me so anyone could use it. It was such a relief to get back to the old version.

Hopefully once the workmen are out of our hair I'll have time to download Firefox and give both it and Google Chrome a trial run, when I can actually hear myself think for more than 2 minutes at a time!

I've got IE8 on my main PC and still IE7 on my laptop. Shall I tell you something? IE7 still works a lot better!

I can easily believe that! I'm not sure which version I've got now, 8 or 7, but it's whichever one I had before accidentally getting 9. Whoever invented IE 9 should be fired! At least I can use the one I've got now!
