Oh! Looking good! Especially considering your trouble with fractionals! I'm looking forward to seeing it completed!

Thank you! So am I *grins* I'm loving stitching it, but at the same time I'm longing to see the finished result.

Fractional stitches are the bane of my stitching life, so I avoid them wherever possible. I actually started stitching a little bear design some years ago which had fractional stitches in it, but it's currently abandoned because I can't for the life of me figure out where I am on the design. I think I might have to re-chart it without the fractionals and try again.

Thank you! I haven't even used all the colours yet, there's a couple of shades of purple to come.

That looks like it takes a lot of eye-hand coordination skill.:)

You do need to make sure the needle goes through the right hole, lol!

That's lovely. I agree about the eye, too. I have a short attention span and cross stitch is something I can only do for short periods of time. I like the results, though. I'm a crocheter, and I also cannot stand afghan stitch. Same stitch over and over and over and..... LOL Tried knitting a couple of times, but for some reason it just never works right for me. Looking forward to seeing your finished picture here. What is it going to be when it's done? Pillow cover, picture in a frame, what? This is the first post I've seen about it.

Thank you!

Having eyes looking at me puts me off, lol!

I only get 30 to 60 minutes of stitching a day at the moment because I can only do this one in natural light. I'm stitching on 20 count fabric (20 holes per inch) to make it small enough as it's to be my sister's 60th birthday card. It'll be 4.5 inches each way. I can't see what I'm doing under artificial light. i even have to take my glasses off so I can see better, the only advantage I've ever found to being sort-sighted.

I'm good at knitting, but can only do basic crochet, a couple of varieties of granny squares. My mum was much better than me at that. Haven't done much knitting in recent years though because I can't knit and use my computer at the same time.

Click on the cross stitch tag and you can see my previous cross stitch entries.

"...can't knit and use my computer at the same time" LOL I can so relate to that. Don't they have magnifying lens glasses or something? I could use those sometimes. A birthday card. What a great idea. Checked the tag, you've done a lot. The pink rose is gorgeous.

I used to knit and read all the time, but having to scroll on the computer makes that impossible.

I do have some magnifying lenses I can attach to my glasses but they don't magnify much. i have other magnifiers too, but as long as just taking my glasses off works, that's what I'll do.

The rose is a gorgeous design and I do want to get back to work on that. I finished the border and started the bottom leaf, but then the nights drew in and it got dark so early, and then I had the two 60th birthday cards to do... Hopefully I can return to it once the art nouveau lady is finished.

I've stitched a lot of things that I never photographed and posted about, but these days I'm trying to keep a record of them all.
