What an adventure! Misty is lucky to have such a dedicated person to take care of him. A lot of people would have just cancelled, I think!

Interestingly, we had a massive thunderstorm at the same time, but we're five hours behind so it was late at night/early in the morning. It woke me up out of a sound sleep and it sounded like the thunder as coming from right on top of the house. And the rain was coming down in sheets. I love thunderstorms--have been known to go take walks in them on purpose--but even I was frightened. It went on so long it seemed like the world was ending. I wanted to call Torchwood because the storm definitely didn't seem like it was normal! Is there a Rift over Philadelphia, do you think?

Glad you (and Misty) are OK!

I seriously considered cancelling, but I don't cope well with hot weather and the rain was at least making things a bit cooler so I went anyway ( ... )

Yikes, what a day!
I'm guessing you've dried out by now though! Lol.
Unless you got caught in the same storm we had earlier this evening... luckily I was in and dry, and the cats appeared shortly after it started raining and let me towel them dry too. Gordon is quite used to it, but the neighbour's cat, Tigger, made a bit more of a fuss!

I got dried out, yes, but then got trapped in the garage by an even worse storm a few days later. And while Misty was in surgery and I was out shopping, the sole fell off one of my shoes and I had to trek around the shops in one and a half shoes trying to find something that would fit. Turns out our only shoe shop has closed down (how helpful), but I eventually found a pair in a charity shop. We used to have four shoe shops when I was in my teens, now we don't have any.

Things are not being helpful at the moment.
