“Loving the new look, Doc!” an American-accented voice called as the Doctor and Clara exited the TARDIS. “The grey hair looks very distinguished.”
Clara turned to see a handsome man dressed in outdated clothing, but spared him barely more than a passing glance, her attention caught by her surroundings. “Where are we?”
“The Torchwood Three Hub,” the man answered with a wide, white smile. “And who might you be?”
“Don’t mind Jack,” the Doctor said. “He ogles everybody that way. Very bad habit.”
“I don’t ogle!” Jack protested.
“He leers,” the man with the tea-tray corrected, smirking. “I should know.”
