A/N: Double drabble.
Rooftops had never been Ianto’s favourite thing, despite the panoramic views of the city they provided anyone daring enough to venture so high. Unfortunately, thanks to Jack’s predilection for standing right on the brink of dizzying drops while looking all brooding and heroic, Ianto had been forced to get over his quite natural aversion to being so far above the ground. Someone had to keep an eye of Torchwood’s leader, if only to try to prevent him taking unnecessary risks.
Keeping a safe distance from the edge, Ianto frowned at his lover. “Do you have to stand on the wrong side of the safety railing? It’s there for a reason.”
“Are you worried I might fall?” Even though Ianto couldn’t see Jack’s face, he could tell the other man was smiling.
“Yes.” There was no point denying it; the thought of Jack plummeting to his death from this high up filled Ianto with dread; it was such a long drop to the unforgiving pavement below.
Jack shrugged carelessly. “Wouldn’t matter if I did. Whenever I die, I always come back.”
“So far, but anyone who happened to be standing below wouldn’t be so lucky.”
“Ah. I hadn’t thought of that.”
