The Doctor was long accustomed to travelling through time as well as space. He could go anywhere he wanted, visit any time period, on any world in the galaxy, stay as long as he liked, and still be back where he started from within a few minutes of the time he left. Well, in theory he could; in practice, his ability to keep to any kind of schedule was a bit iffy.
Nevertheless, time was something Time Lords had mastered millennia ago, but one mystery remained.
Why did his kettle take so long to boil when he needed a cuppa?
