BtVS Double Drabble: Wounded

Summary: Angel gets injured during a battle with a bunch of demons.

A/N: Double drabble.
“Angel!” Buffy started forward, seeing the way her creature of the night boyfriend was limping, a jagged tear in the leg of his pants, oozing blood. “You’re bleeding!”
He brushed off her concern, checking around them for any stragglers. “It’s nothing, just a scratch. I’m fine.”
The fight had been fast but brutal. Now all that was left were some smears of demon goo that were already soaking into the ground as if they’d never existed. Not as tidy in death as vampires, but still minimal cleanup required, just the collecting of stray weapons, the only things that didn’t dissolve. Next time it rained, any leftover residue would wash away.
“You’re not fine, you can hardly walk! Let me help you.” Dropping the sword she was holding, Buffy put her arm around Angel and helped him limp over to the steps at the entrance to a mausoleum, sitting him down and using her scarf as a makeshift bandage.
“You don’t have to do that; I heal fast.”
“That’s not the point.”
“Then what is?”
“If I deserve help when I’m injured, then so do you.” Buffy finished tying the bandage and kissed him softly. “You’re my protector, and I’m yours.”
