A/N: Double drabble.
“I thought you said that thing was a projector!” Ianto snapped at Jack as he picked himself up off the floor, dusted his suit off, even though it probably wasn’t salvageable, and set to work stamping out several small fires. “All the rage for home entertainment in the forty-third century, you said. Projects holographic entertainments of all kinds at the touch of a button.”
“I may have been slightly mistaken,” Jack said. “Or maybe it’s faulty, the crystal might be cracked. Damaged crystals can cause all kinds of problems.”
“Slightly mistaken?” Ianto stamped extra hard on the beginnings of a small blaze, knowing he was destroying a really nice pair of shoes in the process, but making the sacrifice anyway in an effort to save the Hub. “Slightly? Why can’t you just admit you were wrong? You don’t know as much as you think you do! That thing has nothing to do with entertainment; it’s a weapon, and you almost blew us up by fiddling with it!”
“Don’t blame me! I’ve used those projectors dozens of times, and this looked identical to one!” Jack turned the device over in his hands.
“Put it down before you set it off again!”
