A/N: Double drabble.
Entering the Cardiff half-marathon had been a spur of the moment decision, but that didn’t mean Ianto, Jack, and Tosh didn’t take it seriously. They’d trained hard over the past few weeks, increasing their stamina, and now the day had arrived they were as ready as they’d ever be.
“I still say you’re all idiots,” Owen commented as his colleagues left the Hub. He was a bit annoyed to realise that he was being left in charge while they swanned off to run a race, of all things.
“That’s just sour grapes,” Gwen said loftily. She wasn’t running, even though the sprained ankle that had prevented her from training with her friends was now healed, but she’d promised to be there to cheer them on, and she wasn’t backing out.
Owen snorted. “As if! Running’s bad for the knees and ankles. You’ll pay for it later.”
Ianto shrugged. “With all the running we do for work, the damage has already been done, so why not put our efforts to good use and raise money for those less fortunate than ourselves?”
“Well said!” Jack clapped his lover on the back. “Let’s go show the City of Cardiff what Torchwood’s capable of.”
