Summary: Buffy is about to return to school, but even though it’s what she’s been hoping for, she’s not exactly thrilled.

A/N: Double drabble.
Buffy knew she should probably feel happy, or at the very least relieved. After everything that had happened, all the misunderstandings, getting expelled, and running away from home, she was finally being permitted to return to school. Not just any school either; she’d be back where she belonged, with her friends at Sunnydale High. After all the hoops she’d had to jump through, and all the threats her mom had levelled against Snyder, the school board had overturned her expulsion.
It should be good news, and it was. Mostly. It was just that over the last few weeks, she’d gotten used to being at home every day, doing home stuff, mom and daughter stuff, cooking, and baking, and hanging out, and… it had been more fun than she’d expected. She’d felt like she and her mom were bonding, really getting to know each other for the first time in forever.
The prospect of facing lessons, catch-up tests, piles of homework, and gym classes where she had to pretend to be a weak little girly girl, was less than thrilling. But come Monday morning, that would be her life until graduation.
Well, maybe it wouldn’t be so bad. She’d survived worse.
