Ianto couldn’t shake the feeling that he’d forgotten something important. That in itself was disquieting, since his eidetic memory meant he seldom forgot anything at all, unless he hadn’t been paying attention in the first place.
Then again, a lot of what had taken place the night before was a bit blurry, which Ianto put down to whatever it was he and Jack had been drinking. The bottle of blue liquid had been one of several gifted to them by the crew of a spaceship they’d assisted with urgent repairs sometime around midnight. Ianto remembered that much clearly, along with arriving back at the Hub, but after that…
He knew Jack had suggested opening a bottle, knew they’d both drunk from it, and then he’d woken alone in Jack’s bunk, which wasn’t unusual. Thanks to his immortality, Jack needed less sleep than regular people and was usually up before Ianto woke. He’d thought nothing off it when he’d got out of bed, surprised at not having a hangover, but he still couldn’t shake the feeling that something had slipped his mind, until…
“Oi, Teaboy!” Owen bellowed. “Why’s Jack handcuffed naked to my autopsy table?”
“Ah! Knew I was forgetting something!”
