Ianto had been looking forward to date night. He and Jack so seldom got the opportunity to spend an entire evening together with no interruptions, but Tosh had promised them the Rift would remain quiet, and that the rest of the team could handle anything else that came up.
So far, everything had gone perfectly. They’d decided to go with the traditional dinner and a movie, managing to get a table at an intimate little restaurant Jack knew of, tucked away in a backstreet. The food had been delicious, the wine delightful, and Ianto couldn’t even fault the movie, which had proved as entertaining as the critics had claimed.
Now, here they were back at Ianto’s house, ready to conclude their evening in their usual enthusiastically energetic fashion, but they’d hit a slight snag.
“Sorry, Ianto.” Sitting on the edge of the bed, Jack couldn’t even look at his lover, his head bowed, and his hands dangling between his knees as limply as a certain other part of his anatomy.
“Not your fault, we must be more exhausted than I’d thought.”
“It’s not that. You know the alien aphrodisiac I bought? Looks like it has the opposite effect on humans.”
