The impostor king was dead, but as he’d killed the genuine king, who’d had no heir, the Royal court was in a bit of an uproar. Who would rule the planet now? They needed to crown a new monarch.
“What? No! Nonono!” The Doctor backed away with his hands raised. “I’m not king material. Really, you need to pick someone else.”
“But you saved us! You showed us the truth about that terrible creature. You helped us defeat it!”
“That doesn’t mean I should take his place. I’d be a terrible ruler! Maybe you should try electing a Government instead.”
