“Who is this man with the audacity to tell me what I should do about this situation?” the General demanded of his aide, incensed that anyone would presume to tell him how to do his job.
“I’m the Doctor, and if you want your men to survive then you’ll listen to me. I know far more about these creatures than you do; I’ve fought them before, many times. I know their weaknesses and I know how to defeat them. If you don’t want my help, go ahead, do things your own way, but you’ll be sentencing your people to death.”
