A/N: Double drabble.
The general consensus around Cardiff was that Torchwood caused more trouble than they were worth. They were at best tolerated, since there didn’t seem to be anything anyone could do to get rid of them. It was rather hurtful, to be honest, but when you’re a secret organisation dealing with aliens of the interplanetary variety, explaining to people exactly why your presence is essential for everyone’s safety isn’t really an option.
“Oh, it’s you lot.” The police constable on duty guarding the crime scene glared at the team as they arrived.
“DI Swanson called us,” Ianto said quickly before Jack could take offence at their reception. “She said there was a problem that needed our attention?”
“Don’t know anything about that. I was just told to stay here and make sure nobody went inside.”
“That doesn’t include us,” Jack said, looking down his nose at the PC. “We were invited, we’re here, and we’re going in. Unless you want to explain to your superior why we were prevented from doing our jobs.”
“Fine, go ahead.”
Muttering to himself, Jack strode inside, the team following. “Next time the police have problems with an amorous Weevil, they can deal with it themselves.”
