“JUMP!” the Doctor shouts. It’s an order, but Amy can’t follow it. She’s frozen to the spot, even though the building she’s standing on is collapsing beneath her.
“It’s too far, I’ll never make it!”
“Yes you will!” The Doctor is standing on the edge on the next building’s roof, a few metres lower but a good three metres away. The gap between them is a yawning chasm that might as well be bottomless. “I’ll catch you!”
“What if I pull you over with me?”
“You won’t. Just jump; trust me.”
She jumps… and is caught.
“See? Nothing to it.”
