Double Drabble: Important Question

A/N: Double drabble.
Jack had never expected to arrive back in Cardiff and have everything immediately be perfectly fine; he’d abandoned his team, suddenly and unexpectedly, without so much as leaving a note. In retrospect that had been a huge mistake but at the time he hadn’t been thinking too clearly. Resurrecting several days after being drained of life by a massive demon will do that.
Anyway, he’d expected to have to grovel a bit, he’d been gone a lot longer than he would have liked thanks to the whole paradox situation, but he hadn’t been expecting quite so much anger and barely repressed hostility.
And then, on top of everything else, John Hart had to show up and throw the proverbial cat among the pigeons. Talk about bad timing. On the other hand, at least Jack got to spend some quality time with Ianto, just the two of them, searching a sexy office building. Well, it got him thinking.
He’d originally planned to wait a few days, let the dust settle while everyone hopefully got used to him being back and stopped glaring at him, but why waste the opportunity?
“Dinner? A movie?”
“Are you asking me out on a date?”
“Interested?”
