A/N: Double drabble and a half, 250 words.
Dee had been amazing while Ryo was recovering from injury. Despite still working full time himself, he’d come over before and after work every day, taken the trash out, fetched groceries, done laundry, cleaned the apartment, picked up takeout for dinner, all the things Ryo couldn’t have managed by himself.
“It’s no more than you’d do for me if I was in your place. Hell, you’ve done all that and more after I got shot in the leg that time, and we weren’t even lovers back then,” Dee had said when Ryo had tried to thank him for all his help.
“Still, I really appreciate it, I don’t know how I would’ve managed without you, especially not with Bikky away at basketball camp.”
“You should know by now, there’s nothin’ I wouldn’t do for you. That’s what love is, right? Whatever you need, I’m always gonna be there for you.”
Ryo knew his lover meant every word, but nevertheless, just saying ‘Thank you’ didn’t seem enough, so as soon as he was back on his feet, Ryo invited Dee over for dinner.
“After everything you’ve done for me lately, I think you deserve a special treat, so I’ve cooked all your favourite foods.”
“You didn’t haveta do that.”
“I know, but I wanted to.”
“Well, gotta say it all smells amazin’, and I happen to be starvin’.”
“Good. Sit down and I’ll dish up.” Ryo blushed faintly. “And later on, there’s a can of whipped cream to decorate your dessert.”
