A/N: Double drabble.
Tosh had, over time, succeeded in accessing all of Cardiff’s CCTV networks, not just the ones covering the streets but those in public buildings, office blocks, the railway station, shops and arcades, even the hospital. It gave Torchwood eyes across the city, but it still didn’t mean they could see everywhere.
There were a lot of side streets and alleys, not to mention the parks and beaches, where there weren’t any cameras. When something came through the Rift in an area with no CCTV coverage, Tosh had to rely on satellite imaging, and that only helped when the ground wasn’t hidden by clouds, or trees, or overhanging eaves. Despite all of her technical skills, there were still times, like today, when the team had to head into a situation blind.
“Tosh?” Jack’s voice in her ear sounded amused. “You should have come with us; this has to be seen to be believed!”
“What have you found?”
“A sealion balancing something that looks a lot like a pogo stick on its nose.”
“You’re kidding!”
“No, really. Ianto’s calling the zoo. Hold on, I’ll send you a photo, then we’ll confiscate the pogo stick and head back.”
“Torchwood gets weirder every day!”
