Summary: Buffy is far from well, but she can’t let the flu keep her from patrolling.

A/N: Double drabble.
Sleepless nights were nothing new to Buffy; night was the preferred time for vampires and most demons to be active, and as the Slayer, she had to be around to deal with them, preferably before they killed anyone.
Perhaps it wouldn’t have been so bad if Slaying was her only responsibility, but in daytime she had school, and homework, and training, and mom time. Even with all her Slayer strength, the late nights took their toll. Add to that the stress of Angel reverting to the soulless Angelus, and perhaps it shouldn’t have been surprising that she got sick with the flu that was doing the rounds.
Fever, weakness, dizziness, a cough, the sniffles, and a dripping nose; she’d got it all, but she still needed to patrol. She couldn’t afford to rest in case Angelus picked this of all nights to make his move. Too many people had already died at his hands, and Buffy didn’t need any more deaths on her conscience, so no matter how woozy she felt, she wasn’t letting a stupid virus beat her.
Just climbing the cemetery wall took all the strength she had though. Where was her Slayer healing when she needed it?
