Double Drabble: Stitched Up

Summary: Jack is injured and Owen’s trying to help him.

A/N: Double drabble.
“Make him keep still!” Owen snapped as Jack squirmed in agony. “He’s making this impossible!”
“Maybe if you gave him something for the pain first…” Ianto snarled back, trying to soothe his lover. Although Jack healed fast, there were times when some medical assistance was beneficial.
“I did!” Owen glared across the autopsy table at his colleague. “But I can’t just stand around waiting for it to take effect!”
“Just shoot me,” Jack whimpered. “I’ll come back whole.”
“I’m not killing you!” Ianto turned to Owen again. “How about anaesthetic?”
“Takes too long.” Owen set to work with needle and thread.
“Hit me over the head! Knock me out!” Jack begged.
“You wouldn’t stay out though, would you? I’d have to keep knocking you out over and over, and then you’d end up with concussion.”
“I don’t care!”
“The local I gave you should kick in soon.” Owen gritted his teeth and put in another suture, working as fast as he could, hoping to get the job done before Jack could start growing extra parts.
Jack gradually relaxed as the pain lessened.
Ianto scowled at Owen’s handiwork.
“Your stitching’s terrible.”
“It only has to hold until Jack’s foot reattaches itself.”
