Summary: Buffy is desperate to make Angel believe he doesn’t deserve to die.

A/N: Double drabble.
The First Evil is winning, and Buffy’s heart is breaking, shattering into splinters. How can she convince Angel not to give up, that he’s needed, that he’s worth fighting for? He’s a champion, whether he believes it or not, and he’s done so much good since the gypsies first restored his soul, but all he can see, all he remembers, is the harm he’s done, the lives he’s destroyed, the suffering he’s caused.
He isn’t that creature now though, he’s a good man with a good heart, and the battle against evil will be so much harder if he isn’t there to help. Buffy doesn’t want to lose him, for purely personal reasons; she loves him. But beyond her own feelings she understands that if Angel destroys himself then evil will be one step closer to victory. She can’t let that happen, can’t let the First win.
Part of the problem is that Angel sees himself as weak, a coward, not worthy of saving. Buffy knows the First is playing with his memories, swamping him with them, and she’s losing him.
But miracles happen, even at the mouth of Hell. The sun doesn’t rise, Angel doesn’t burn. Instead, it snows.
