A/N: Double drabble.
Ianto stood, hands on hips, studying their captive. “Okay, we’ve caught it. Now what do we do with it?”
Jack frowned. “That’s a good question.”
It wasn’t as if they could shove it in the boot of the SUV the way they did with the other creatures the Rift delivered to Cardiff. This thing was the size of a bus, and roughly the same shape, like a gigantic caterpillar, with thirty pairs of short, stumpy legs underneath, eyes at the front like headlamps, although as far as anyone knew they didn’t light up, and feathery antennae in place of ears. It was a lurid shade of yellow, like a highlighter pen.
“Maybe we could walk it back to the Hub. Or ride it.” Jack eyed the monster thoughtfully. “Probably need a ladder to get up there though.”
“I’m not sure either option is a good idea, might draw a bit too much attention, and that’s assuming we could even persuade it to move.” Stopping it had been difficult enough, getting it going again didn’t seem too likely. Ianto suspected it might be asleep.
“So we’ll rent a truck from Harwoods.”
Oh yes, this just had ‘disaster’ written all over it.
