A/N: Double drabble.
“Owning a Fluff is a privilege, not a right,” Jack said, a stony expression on his face.
The new Prime Minister had, by an unfortunate turn of events, accidentally spotted Lizzie’s Royal Fluff, Brittania, usually called Tani, while visiting the palace. Now he’d decided he should have one as well, and if that wasn’t bad enough he also wanted one as a gift for his good friend the US President.
“But I’m the Prime Minister!”
“You could be God and you still wouldn’t get a Fluff. There are only three in existence, and all three already have human families.”
“Can’t you breed more?”
“That,” said Ianto, entering with a tray bearing cups of coffee, “is not our decision to make. You seem to be under the impression that Fluffs are animals, to be bred and sold as we choose. They’re not. They are highly intelligent alien creatures and they won’t bond with just anyone.”
“Ianto’s right,” Jack agreed. “The Torchwood Fluff decides when it will produce offspring, and also decides who it will entrust with those offspring. You wouldn’t make the grade.”
The PM sipped his coffee.
Next day he awoke at Downing Street with no memory of Fluffs whatsoever.
