A/N: Double drabble.
All those times JJ had wittered on about romantic evenings together by the fire, sharing sweet kisses, had driven Dee half nuts. He hadn’t been interested in that kind of stuff, not with JJ Adams, but that didn’t mean he didn’t want romance in his life.
He’d done the whole Valentine’s Day thing plenty of times when he’d been in serious relationships, whether with women or with men; people might think he was all about the sex, but that wasn’t the case. Not completely. He’d wooed Ryo in every way he could think of, including buying him flowers, and even though he’d won his man, that didn’t mean the romance had to stop.
It didn’t all have to be candlelit dinners, roses, and wine though; romance came in many forms, like coffee and cupcakes on the roof of the precinct house in the moonlight. Someone had to work the late shift on Valentine’s Day, and since they were both supposedly single and not seeing anyone, they’d drawn the short straw this year.
Wrapped in their coats, hats, and gloves, arms around each other, they gazed out across the city on the most romantic night of the year.
It was perfect.
