“Drakey?”
“Mm?” Drake turned away from the TV to look at his boyfriend; they were snuggled together on the sofa in JJ’s penthouse apartment, watching a movie, but it was a commercial break. “What’s up?”
“Nothing, I was just sort of wondering…”
“About what?”
“Well, how would you feel about going on a vacation? With me, I mean, both of us, together? I know we’ve only been dating for a few months, but…” JJ trailed off again, chewing on his bottom lip, before finally blurting out, “I’ve always wanted to go back to Disneyland; I went a few times with my family when I was a kid, but it wouldn’t be as much fun all by myself.”
Drake started to laugh. “For a minute there you had me worried! A Disneyland vacation… You know I’ve never been? Not even as a kid, my folks couldn’t afford it. We just went to Coney Island on day trips, and to Maine a couple of times. I haven’t had a proper vacation in years. You’d really want me to go with you?”
JJ nodded. “There’s nobody else I’d even think of asking. So what d’you say? It would be great!”
“I say yes!”
