A/N: Drabble and a half, 150 words.
In his job as a uniformed police officer, and then as a detective, Ryo had seen a lot of fakes, and not just of the counterfeit currency variety. He’d met plenty of people who weren’t who they pretended to be; murders who claimed they were innocent, husbands and wives who insisted they were true to their better halfs, teenagers who swore they were old enough to drink and had the fake I.D. to prove it… The list was endless.
It took Dee to make him see that he was just as much of a fake as any of those people, claiming to be straight when he knew deep down he wasn’t. He’d wasted so many years trying to be something he wasn’t, fooling himself more than he’d ever managed to fool anyone else, especially Dee.
Sometimes it took an outside point of view to make you see your true self.
