Ryo had spent a long time with his mind clogged by a fog of indecision, wondering whether or not he should surrender to Dee’s advances, and whether it would change things between them if he did. Well, of course it had; the night they’d spent together three weeks ago had been amazing; it had left Ryo with a clear head for the first time in years.
He’d needed some time after that to get used to the changes within himself, and to adjust to being a gay man rather than a man who was in denial about being gay, but now he’d thought things through and was pretty sure he was comfortable with the idea of being in a relationship with Dee. He was rather glad too that Dee had allowed him the time and space he needed to adjust without pouncing on him or demanding a repeat of that night. His partner could be amazingly considerate when he tried.
Now he’d got his thoughts in order, Ryo’s next step was obvious; he’d invite Dee out for dinner at that restaurant Ted had been going on about, then for a romantic stroll afterwards.
It would be like a proper date.
