Hey, you mentioned that you did editing. What types of writing do you do?

I have a B.A. in journalism (and comparative religion) from Miami and right now I'm working on a technical communications Associate's Degree at Cin. State. The Cin. State program focuses more on technical writing and editing for all kinds of written media (books, newspapers, websites, etc.). I'm taking a course now on technical editing and I have to take another . . . and I have a lot of desktop publishing, graphic design, web design, etc. classes to take (plus other things, like a business class and a marketing class) . . . all in addition to what I'm taking now (see my entry with my class schedule). I'm familiar with both MLA and AP (the style used in journalism, not APA) styles and have a zillion books on writing, editing, etc..

Are you interested in writing books at all? I've been looking for a partner to get me motivated and make sure that the shit doesn't come out as pure drivel.

I've thought about it before . . . I probably couldn't do fiction because I'm not as creative as I used to be. I'm not sure how much time I'd have to devote to it, but if it's going to be something you plan on working on for a while, then I'm more confident in saying "yes." Either way, I'd be happy to help you out in any way that I can. I think that the classes I'm taking at Cin. State will definitely be helpful since I'm a bit rusty in some areas since it's been a while since I've had any practice in some things. plus, the editing classes there *definitely* go into more detail than my MU classes did.
