My brother was born in 1979, and we had video games in the house for the entirety of my memory (meaning he was without video games for perhaps a year and a half before that, max... so he possibly did without until he was a whopping four years old). I was born in 1980, and we played outside, climbed trees, broke bones, drank from the hose... Hell nearly everything on your list except the child-proof lids (which I solved well before my grandparents did). Methinks the arbitrary line drawn here is off a bit...

Most of all, I'm absolutely certain that twenty years from now, our kids will be passing around the same sort of list at their own kids. Fact: Every generation think it's the last generation that was raised properly, not coddled too much, and grew up with right and proper morals. They're all wrong.
