Just stumbled onto your journal while searching for topics related to the Cullen and Lily pairing, and decided to state here that I'm loving this couple. I knew from the beginning that they'd be romantically paired. But because their romance could be seen as inevitable (to a lot of people at least)...that is probably why the writers took a very slow buildup approach to it.

Hey welcome! The Hell on Wheels fandom seems to be still at an embryonic state. A couple of pages on Tumblr and a Facebook page from what I can find, are all there is at the moment. On LJ there is a page called hellonwheels_tv but it doesn't seem to be very lively.

You see I wasn't so sure they would be paired. Sure, Cullen and Lily have a great chemistry, but as an X-Files fan where the two leads had enough chemistry to fuse a core reactor and where the writers still waited nine years to make their ship canon, let me tell you - the Cullen/Lily relationship took me by surprise because I never thought it would happen so fast, if at all. I mean it only took Cullen 17 episodes to get into her pants *laugh*

But boy, was it pretty. *happy sigh*

Edited to add: and the Swede is also fast becoming one of the most fascinating, utterly bonkers character on TV, don't you think?

Thank you. As hinted at above, I've been watching this show from the beginning; and I mean since its 2011 debut. Every now and then, during Season 1 and this season, I would wonder why Cullen and Lily don't have a lot of scenes together. But the end of Season 1 convinced me beyond a reason of a doubt that the show would be romantically pairing these two, even if it was going to take longer than I would like. A lot of romances have a lot of buildup and it may take two seasons or more or to the end of the show for the couple to get together romantically, so Cullen and Lily taking until Season 2 to "get it on," LOL, isn't out of the ordinary fast-wise or too long-wise. But the buildup style was out of the ordinary, the way that the writers would give them barely any scenes together while making the scenes they did have together compelling in one way or another. Well, okay, their scenes are compelling either way because they have fantastic chemistry. But I believe that you get my point ( ... )

Ah, yes, I guess if you've been following it from the start it must have seemed long. I forget that I watched the whole show over a weekend. *headesk*

I mean if you compare it to other shows I'm thinking Castle to name one, it took much longer for the UST to turn into RST.

I agree their chemistry is fantastic, haven't seen something this potent in a long while.

The Swede is delighfully insane. I love how he "gets" Cullen and as you said, you can't fully figure him out

I made a small ep discussion post at hellonwheels_tv because from what I see, there's only Tumblr who seems to have an active fandom on that show. It would be nice to have a proper forum.
Have you found any other places?
