Español speaking skill

I have a bit of faith in this author. At least they know how to use the tilde (~) - not to mention they've apparently gone to at least the first couple of classes of Spanish 101!

The very first convo we learned way back in Spanish I was
A: Hola
B: Hola, como estas?
A: Muy bein, y tu?
B: Asi, asi.

Though I don't think I've ever heard asi asi used in an actual conversation...which is kinda odd. I know how to use the tilde, just don't know how to use it on the computer anymore :/

I don't think "asi asi" really IS used, or maybe it's one of those Spain-only things, or it's fallen out of use... I just remember spanish I teachers teaching it and then saying to avoid using it for some reason.

My favorite part is how the author capitalized Gay. Because it's a proper noun, after all.
