I have to admit that I watch a fair bit of "Reba," what with it being shown four times a day on Lifetime. I enjoy many of its jokes, but I have come to realize that comedy fanfic is often the hardest to write... mostly because if all of us were as witty as the TV writers, we would BE writing TV shows

Yes! Completely! The 12-year-olds should stick to bad, awkward sex scenes... God knows those are funnier...

I can only take comfort in the fact that there wasn't a sex scene. If there had been, I probably would have pulled a muscle laughing.

So... I actually went and read the whole thing. (It's Friday. Gimme a break.) And after I picked my lower jaw off the floor I wrote the author a polite (I'm always polite ... really) but fairly detailed PM about all the medical things wrong with the fic. (Maybe since I mostly read ER, I'm especially annoyed by people who try to write medical fics, making stuff up as they go along.) And she responded, 'thanking me for my insight' and assuring me that if I keep reading, it will all make sense. How???? How could anything make this fic make sense?
