fandom: ER

I love badfic, and tonight for some reason I'm avoiding all actual writing and spending lots of time with it. Here's some more gems, this time from "ER" badfic. The title is "I Get By With a Little Help From My Friends," and one could only hope that if the author had friends, he/she would have asked for help a long time ago.

your plane left when? )

Indeed.

And I thought my un-beta'ed stuff was awful.

It's hard to believe, but not everyone was meant to write fanfic.

Thank goodness for this community that some without the gift do, of course...

I don't think it would be very pleasant to be pregnant for good...

I don't think so either.

She saw the tone in his voice.
Cool, she has synesthesia!

I wish I could see tones in peoples voice! Usually, I just hear them.

It would be great. I wonder if Neela can see the millions of bricks on Abby's shoulder.

Well, we always knew Neela was super-talented.

Yes, the accident victims who died on impact were the lucky ones.

Um... is this better? harsens_rob December 16 2007, 21:41:19 UTC
...but then she was pregnant for good.

Not to belittle miscarriages which we all understand is completely horrible, BUT, is this really any better. The way I understand English, doing something 'for good' is the same as doing it for always. Can we see how wrong this sentence is? Maybe the author meant she was pregnant for the good of mankind... or something.

I guess it would be better than being pregnant for evil, if you had to choose one or the other.
