[It's lunch time and Mamimi is in the kitchen. She's smoking while busily cooking at the stove. There's rice in the rice cooker, noodles in a pot, and tea in the kettle. Mamimi is talking, addressing the empty island chair a few feet behind her.]

[Mamimi is sitting in the middle of the parlor surrounded by at least a hundred photographs. She's milling through them, organizing them into piles by subject.
