Once you are in the fighter field anything you say directed at your enemy will be a spell.

So? What happens if we don't fight?

As soon as you enter the actual fighting arena the battle'll start. She seems to think that'll make you fight. I guess because it won't end until you fight.

Uh, I think so. If stuff's from that world it'll be in there. I don't know every book in the friggin' library.
