[Those wide eyes you see are definitely the ones familiar to some of the residents, ones that he doesn't simply creep on and then wander off otherwise. Though let's face it, being creeped on (said as looked at) by L is only trumped by a few elite.

[Mello was out of his room for two reasons. 1. He was fucking hungry, and 2. It was time for his daily check to see if L was still there, still alive, and hopefully hadn't gotten into any more hawaiian shirts.

So as he tosses his hair, gloved hand reaching up to rub at the side of his head, everything is going according to schedule.

That is until he rounds the corner to see a mop of a child drowning is fruit juice.

A vaguely...no. Not even vaguely... familiar mop.

[L turns around, even if the shirt he's swimming in isn't turning well with him when he hears someone approach. The sight of Mello has him hide a little against a near by structural column, peeking out of it shyly.]

[L's little naked foot plays with the carpet fibres, his eyes looking down at his toes instead of Mello when he speaks. Still wide as always, still taking in information but not as analytically as his former self. So he's not allowed to tell strangers things- but what about if it wasn't about himself?]
