My world is the earth. Humans are the dominant species and our technology seems to be mediocre, compared with what I've gathered about other words. There is no such thing as magic in daily life.

Yes, earth seems to be a common base for worlds. I've seen people from different times in earth's history as well as people from alternate versions of my earth. Those alternates sometimes only have very small differences as it seems.

Small difference as they might seem, do seem to make the biggest of changes between them all. Although this might or might not be true in this case, it's something to keep in mind. Although as you pointed out, apart from those small changes the Earth are all basically the same.
