[Mikami is watching that video carefully. The voice was unfamilar to him, which made a new arrival likely. The post had displeased him greatly. With an even more serious voice as usual he turns on the audio and starts speaking]

[Gaara perks up immediately at the sound of the voice. He hadn't felt anyone approaching, and the voice catches him off guard. The sound is emanating from the device half peeking from a pocket, which he had up until now ignored because it didn't seem to do anything, but now he understands; It's some kind of radio device. Not realizing that his face is being broadcast as well (though he wouldn't have cared anyway), he holds it in his hands, finally showing his face on screen- as well as a view of the sand around him, undulating with a wave like motion.]

...Coward. You're nothing but a coward, hiding from me this way.

[Is that the worst insult you can come up with, Gaara? Mikami isn't offended. Sure, his dislike for the boy grows with every minute, but it takes a lot more to make Mikami actually feel insulted. His tone stays the same]

[Meanwhile, a few yards away- There's a Ryohei in the forest. Looking for some bears. BEARS TO SPAR WITH TO THE EXTREME. Then he hears Gaara muttering to himself. Ryohei can't really hear what he's saying, but he makes out the word "mother". HE MUST GO HELP THE INNOCENT CHILD!!!]

[As he runs closer, he notices the "dust particles" (sand) swirling around Gaara, and decides it's just some dust tornado...in the middle of the forest. No, Ryohei does not question the existence of a “dust tornado” in the middle of a forest. He takes an extra closer look at Gaara...and notices the dead blood-covered bird under his foot. At this point there's something in even Ryohei's brain telling him that this kid isn't exactly normal. But at this point he's only a few feet away from Gaara, SO THERE'S NO BACKING OUT!!!]

[Oh now, isn't this all too familiar? Gaara's far too used to Ryohei's reaction. People calling out to Gaara only petering into awkward silence when they realized who it was they were speaking to. The monster of the Sand Village. Brows furrow in dislike. The sand coalesces by his feet swaying to a rhythm Gaara dictates.]

[ The very, very flat tone in Gaara's voice convinces Ryohei in to thinking Gaara somehow accidentally stepped on an already dead bird on the ground and is just standing there without realizing that he did so.]

I DON'T KNOW IF YOU REALIZE, BUT YOU ACCIDENTALLY STEPPED ON AN EXTREMELY DEAD BIRD!!! YOU MIGHT WANT TO WATCH YOUR STEP NEXT TIME!!! [Pause.] COME ON KIDDO, LET'S GO LOOK FOR YOUR MOM!!! WHERE DID YOU LAST SEE HER?!!

[As he's been conditioned before, with the person who dared try tell him what to do (Poor Mikami) Gaara removes what he thinks is a radio device from his pocket. Except, now there's an image on the screen.

For the moment, Gaara's interest in more questionable activities wanes, as confusion takes its place. He's never seen such a device, nor has he seen anyone who looks anything like the image on his screen. A kuchiyose, might be a good explanation for the talking animal, but still doesn't explain exactly what the phone actually is.]

You. [His tone is low, dangerous, almost.] Explain this now.

[Deep breath to order her thoughts, then she starts to explain all that she knows abotu what's going on]

Well, you've been kidnapped by this force that the ofurs here call the 'Author'. Apurrently she's a human child? I don't understand that bit, but there's no way out, I've looked. [She makes a brief confused face before moving on]

If you go to the manor, you'll find a room in here that has your name on it, it's yours fur as long as you stay here! Efury once in a while, the Author will change things here. We just got back from an island ofur-run by monsters!

[As she talks, Gaara merely stares. His expression darkens with every word. Kidnapped? No-one could possibly hope to kidnap or contain Gaara. Children didn't possess that kind of power, which leads him to his conclusion- whoever this is, is lying to him. In the background, the sand begins to rise, moving in ways not physically possible. In person this would have looked more intimidating >>;;]

Prove it. [The "Or I'll kill you" portion of that sentiment is provided by the menacing way the sand is looming over Gaara's shoulder.]
