Trying to help you Ahoko, though looks like I shouldn't've even bothered.

[They're both by the pool, which is a complete mess by the way, thanks to a monster attacking it. Aoko had been sleeping by said pool when this happened and had been knocked into the water by the monster, who'd seemed more interested in wrecking things than in her, and she would have drowned if Kaito hadn't seen all this and gone to her rescue. He'd managed to drive the monster off and dived into the pool after her, but afterward, just as he'd been thinking he'd need to perform CPR, she'd woken up and slapped him.]

[It was just so typical really, though he was kind of relieved he hadn't needed to and she was alright.]

I didn't do anything, it was the stupid monster. [He gestured at the wrecked swimming pool.]

It knocked you into the pool while you were asleep. Guess it didn't notice you or something...
