It's hard to make someone do something if you can't find them--and I intentionally left out any mention of your name-in case our arsonist isn't finished yet- but it's obvious he had to have known you weren't in the room at the time he set it on fire.

Well, for one, he's from a mafia family, which is probably why he's reacting so spectacularly badly to your questions - his background is one where a conflict being drug public is generally avoided at all costs. In spite of that - well, what I've seen of him supports that he didn't seem to set off any alarm bells as 'trouble' himself to Hattori; he's been more inclined to try to warn others and offered something resembling advice on a certain stunt of mine - which I still need to explain to you better ( ... )

Belphegor? We've met. I'm definitely keeping an eye on him. I think you're probably right in thinking he wasn't involved in this-he's a wire assassin and if he's from the mafia would likely only want to use his own methods- and if unstable he'd take pleasure in killing Hayato-san knowing he could just kill him again. Not to mention, he'd be stupid to try and get noticed this early into his stay here- and I know for a fact he's no idiot. Dangerous-but most likely not the arsonist.

The aim of arsonist clearly wasn't murder, as I stated, and I'm sure you agree. It's much more complex than that, I think.
