[Ulquiorra is in the parlor with a book in his hands, but he is CLEARLY not reading it. Oddly enough it seems that he has fallen asleep. Not something the dead typically need to do.Though upon closer inspection it would appear that his breathing is somewhat labored and his face flush with fever

[[Here's something that he didn't think he'd see every day. L's wary of this ..person? thing? but it's not going to start making him afraid for every day life- and the look on the Arrancar's face is a little less than healthy.

Quietly as always, he makes his way toward the man with his hands in his pockets and his eyes on the book. He's curious as to what sort of material a monster reads.]]

[Ulquiorra is more or less undisturbed by the humans presence. He remains asleep. The book he's reading is "The Birth of Tragedy" by the German philosopher Nietzsche.

At least he's a well read monster...]

[[L raises a single eyebrow to the title of the book, his hand coming out from its regular place to pluck at the book, trying to move it at the same time as he speaks-- Rest? What rest?]]

[Ulquiorra grunted gracelessly forcing himself awake at the sound of another's voice. He brings a hand to his head for a moment, trying to quell the ache before turning to regard the human. His face is mostly blank, however hints of irritation can be seen surfacing here and there as he speaks]

While I can sleep, it is not a necessity to my survival. As for reading, I was human at one point. Is it that much of a stretch that I can read?

[Shiki however hadn't progressed into the later stages. He'd taken the medicine as instructed, gargled with diluted antiseptic liquid and he felt vaguely normal once again.

Stepping into the parlour to see the Arrancar slumped in the chair. He raised his brow and returned shortly with some medicine and said antiseptic.]

Ulquiorra.

[Ulquiorra stirred a bit, having some trouble forcing himself awake. With a little grunt he sits up rubbing his neck sorely. The stiffness of just waking up being a foreign phenomenon to him. He glances over at Shiki, keeping his face as blank as possible, despite his irritation about his condition]

[Shiki offers the lempsip capsuals to the arrancar.]

You look like you could use these. They're flu tablets.

[Ulquiorra simply stares at them. Making no motion that he was going to try and take them. Whatever the human thought they were for, there would be no need for him to attempt to take them]

[[As if you don't have enough troubles, Wonderweiss is teething on the chair-arm closest to his superior. Staring up with child-like wonder as he sleeps of all things.

Just squatting next to him.

Randomly having tested the chair to see if it was food.

[Ulquiorra even in the midst of sleeping can feel Wonderweiss's presence...

And that's more then enough to wake the slumbering Arrancar]

[His tone was some merge between a question and a greeting. While still utterly deadpan, of course]

[[Wonderweiss' expression goes a little bit curious to the sound of his name, long gone are the moments before Ulquiorra woke up to ruin his staring session at his superior's fingers. They're long and stringy to him, amusing if he knew the word for it.

Those two pointed front teeth bite down momentarily on his lip, not for any particular reason and he at first makes a little noise followed by opening his lips to make another set of a noise.

He's mostly hanging around Ulquiorra simply because there's no one else here that'd tolerate him. Even if it doesn't seem he's a tolerable person himself, to Wonderweiss he is.]]

[[His hand comes up and his fingers pull over his own face, one finger on either side of his nose to display the shutting of eyes. He caught you sleeping.]]

[Ulquiorra understood the meaning behind the gesture, not very pleased he had been caught]

It was not intentional. I fear I have somehow been tampered with. My body seems to have become flawed somehow.

[Ulquiorra looks down at his hand, then wipes the sweat from his forehead. This was a troublesome situation indeed...]
