Case 20 ○•○ Holmes ○•○ My mind rebels at stagnation [In person]

[Starting to let his boredom get the better of him, Holmes had headed to the library in search of mental stimulation. He had been pretty much stagnating in his room, not knowing what to do with himself. He was no longer burning, which was a plus. But there were no cases interesting enough or intellectually satisfying enough for him to really sink

[Shiki steps in cautiously, he'd never really been inside the library. Never really seen the point. But now unable to go outside due to the animals going crazy and the general bleakness he was only accustomed to back home.
He spots Holmes and casually passes him by, pulling a book out of the shelf on he speaks in a perfect sarcastic monotone.]

Be still my beating heart. The recluse shows himself.

[Holmes knew who it was, and without looking up, he smirks]

Hush now = don't you know this is a library?

[Shiki lets out an audible snort and takes the seat opposite him, quite obviously ignoring the I want to be left alone vibes.]

I'm aware of that, but we're the only two here.

[He has this rather smug air about him, if Holmes managed to catch the glimpse, Shiki has his Katana sheathed at his hip. It was in perfect condition once again. Since he found it returned he couldn't have been happier.]

What's with this mess? Are you trying to make an extension of your bedroom?

[Sighing, Holmes sits back against the bookshelf, and goes to retort when he catches sight of the weapon. Admittedly, his face does fall somewhat..]

It's not mess..it's, um..it's research..and cases...

[Getting back to his usual self, he manages to take his eyes off of the katana hush]

And my bedroom is not messy; everything is simply in it's proper place..

[Without knocking, Light opens the door to the crime section of the library.]

Ah, I'm sorry. I didn't realize anyone was here.

[He raises an eyebrow at the books scattered around the unfamiliar man.]

....You've been researching something?

[Holmes glances up at the younger man, giving him a once over, before going back to his books]

You could call it that, yes. They're unsolved cases; I'm simply solving them.

[finalarbiter]

[Another detective? Just how many are here? He smiles, keeping his tone friendly.]

So was it Montague John Druitt, Michael Ostrog... or none of the usual suspects?

Just looked it up - Jack and Sherlock were int he same time~ XD

[ Exploring the mansion. Misa usually didn't like spending too much time in libraries. Not unless they have fashion magazines. But, when she started dating Light, to impress him she wanted to be a little smarter so she did read one or two books about detectives. What she didn't understand is why the detective really wants the criminal to live. Misa just thinks that the authors didn't understand.

Pushing the door to the Crime section, she found it occupied. ]

Misa didn't think anyone would be here...

[Glancing up, Holmes looks the blonde up and down, smiling a little]

Did you need something?

[ She shakes her head. ]

No. Not really. Misa is just looking around!

[ Skips towards him. ]

What are you doing? Can Misa see?

[Not used to sharing his company with young, blonde girls, Holmes glances down at his books, considering his options, before looking back up and giving her an awkward smile]

I don't see why not.

And to answer your question, I'm looking through these books, solving any great mysteries of the world that have been left unsolved..or just reading them over. I'm terribly bored you see.
