[There's noise from the pedestrian traffic and one of the streetside cafes in the background; he's staying out of the rain at one of the tables, under one of the large table-umbrellas

Ah, they should be at any newsstand kiosk in the more traveled areas - granted, large city, and apparently we do have people who've managed to get lost anyway.
Sometimes getting lost makes for a better understanding of where one should be versus where one is. Can't they rent a moped? I hear they're quite popular in Europe.
One would think. I'm not going to take for granted anything with how - strange the city is; you'd think that at least the cabs or public transportation would work, but as ... uncommunicative ... as the people are...
At this point, I'm hoping to not hear too many other posts from people who've gotten lost. Anyone that can use the phone has access to a map, after all.
But then, if someone isn't familiar with a city like this and does manage to lose track of where they are, it doesn't hurt to help.

I spent three hours in a cafe just trying to pick out something - some signs of identifying marks, body language, stains on clothing, any kind of little, telltale clue that someone might have a LIFE and there was nothing. There's not even any sign of recognition of other people or situations - like automatons; I've seen more life in video game NPC's.
[This seems as good a time as any to complete Conan's request. Mello wanted to tail Hakuba but considering the opportunity to meet him with little chance of suspicion that he'd been set up to it.]
I haven't been here before but I've got a good sense of direction, if anyone needs help I'm willing to lend a hand.

I wonder if there's -
Aha!
...and yet we have so many people getting lost.
There's an online map on the blackberries.

It's not like Paris is particularly difficult to work with, but I don't see why you'd need to offer such requests.

[Arthur pauses, remembering the locals.]
Except for the locals this time around. I never remembered them to be this unfriendly.
